Shooting A Cell Phone
It seems to this blogger that a lot depends on variables that cannot be controlled during such a test. (i.e. distance from the phone, type of clothing, location of phone, how loosely the phone is being held - is it tight against the body or is there a bit of play, did the bullet hit at 90 degrees or at an angle?)
But it is good to know that your phone is not going to protect you from a bullet - unless you are using it to call for help.

Hatun Tash is Still Missing
UPDATE: She appears to be safe. She has sent a message to Dr. Jay Smith that he believes to be genuine. May the Lord be praised for His answer to prayer.
Fearless apologist Hatun Tash has been missing for over a month now. Those who have followed her ministry know that she is fearless and has been attacked many times.
Even though her team and others have reported her missing, the UK police refuse to search for her or investigate her disappearance.
She has been attacked multiple times. There is a man in jail in the UK right now because he had been planning to kill her and was caught. She is estranged from her family as she is a convert from islam and honor killing is a very real practice.
From what I am hearing, the police in the UK are refusing to investigate because she does not have a fixed address. While that will certainly make their job more difficult, I don't see how it should make an investigation into her current whereabouts impossible. If she were a criminal without a fixed address, would they refuse to even attempt to find her because of that?

Not that the dangerous communist/socialist stuff shouldn't be overthrown, but the (admittedly very) little that this blogger has seen of the man does not recommend him, but inspires a sense of unease that this is not what it seems.
He is not the Argentinian equivalent of Mr. Trump. Mr. Trump has more sense and a methodical approach to both business and government. (That approach, part of which is allowing someone whom other CEOs might oust as a matter of course - the opportunity to do their job to see if they do it well - was part of the problem in his first administration because, clearly the bureaucratic class thought/thinks they know better than the American people who put him into office. In this blogger's opinion, knowing that he was coming into the office after Mr. obama had 8 years to purge all the competent people who were in accord with the founding principles of this nation, he would have done better to fire them all as soon as replacements could be found. Of course that would have required a LOT of replacements to be found.)

It is one thing for a hospital/doctor to want to gather all the information they can get about a seriously ill child whose case has confounded them, but another to suggest that they SHOULD be collecting such information of all children as a baseline. And really!? "...that they share about themselves..." Children are sharing their genetic code in Canada? With whom and for what purpose and how did they get it?

The Horrors of Homeschooling
Ah yes, the horror of setting your own schedule, of knowing what your child is being taught, of not having to participate in an endless lineup of fundraisers, of having the freedom to take a trip anytime, anywhere without playing mother-may-I with school officials who think they have the authority to tell you you may not, of being able to tailor your child's curriculum to suit their individual learning style, of not having to hold your child back from learning something because "the rest of the class isn't going that fast and we have to accommodate the majority", of not hearing the school guidance counselor say, "yes, I know he is reading at a tenth grade level and doing math at a seventh grade level, but don't worry, the rest of the kids will catch up to him by third grade" like that was a good thing, of always knowing your child is not there should the local school go into lockdown.

Even though it is something that would generally be perceived as silly and unimportant, it is a deception. It makes me ask, - as it should - what else he would think worthy of deceiving people about? I would have liked to see him turn it into an asset for himself - say something like , "yeah, I'm wearing lifts, but I have to or I can't reach the (whatever item will get a laugh)". That would have made it much more acceptable. Or he could have tried on the shoes and told the host to auction the shoes for charity. But he didn't.
