Not knowing when life begins, the SCOTUS should have erred on the side of caution and assumed that life begins at conception until proven otherwise.

The federal government has a vested interest - as well as a duty - to protect the lives of it's citizens regardless of age.

Having failed to err on the side of caution, when the first child was born via in vitro fertilization, this should certainly have been overturned.
