To an uninterested observer it might appear as though these people are attempting to set the narrative in such a way that both the military and the public will accept a military coup.
All U.S. military troops are properly trained to disobey illegal orders. They are also trained to know what those orders look like. For these people to be implying that they do not is a stunning insult to our military and all the citizens who support them.
