"...in the hands of the right people..." Also, none of the other advances you mentioned can choose actions for themselves. AI - it seems - will be able to do so. And, AI has no ability to recognize, much less change it's programming to account for, objective truth. I think that is a much, much larger problem than almost anyone currently realizes.
The last bit though, about giants in the land and our duty to follow God's orders, is quite correct.
