Update: There is also a provision that bans police officers from using this driver's card as a reason to investigate the citizenship status of a driver who holds one. Making criminals out of our police officers cannot be a good thing for this state.
Mr. Doyle's budget proposal contains a provision for "driver's cards". These are cards that Mr. Doyle thinks should be issued by WI DMV offices to illegal aliens that will allow them to drive in the state of WI. Essentially a driver's license for illegal aliens.
Aren't citizens required to report illegal activities including being present in the country illegally? The last time I checked, DMV employees are citizens and agents of the state as well. Wouldn't they be legally(as well as morally and ethically) obliged to report these illegals and have them arrested as they apply for these cards?
We can't afford to keep all the DMV offices in the state open, but we can afford to increase the workload of those that will be left in order to make illegal aliens feel welcome?
This does not belong in the state budget Mr. Doyle.

Mr. Doyle sounds like a great leftist. I'll bet he feels right at home in Madison. What a nut!
Some how, since we have stopped making logical connections and made doing so a punishable crime in the USA, what you are asking, to have DMV personnel take the logical action to start these illegals on their way to deportation, is considered wrong these days. "Right thinking people" know that we should not deport people who have broken our laws by entering the country illegally (or so the "right thinking people" tell us.)
Not only does this not belong in the state budget, but the person putting it there, the governor, should be charged with a crime for even suggesting it. Anybody with an ounce of sense (that is asking a lot) knows that this is just plain wrong.
It gets worse.
The state of WI actually forbids its examiners from reporting people for misuse of a Social Security number, unless the applicant is using fake documents. That is how bad the "P.C." pressure is on state administrators to tie the hands of the frontline workers who could really make a haul of illegals if they wanted (or were allowed) to...
Thank you for joining the conversation anonymous. One might think improper use of a soc. sec. number would be considered a reportable crime for anyone, not just illegals.
If the law is not applied fairly across the board, then there is no justice.
thanks for share this things .. thanks ..
