Paul Kingsnorth: why I changed sides in the vaccine wars

I suspect that Mr. Kingsnorth has had a very wonderful life, for which he should be thankful. I begin to think that everyone should do a ride-along with their local law enforcement so they can get a more realistic view of how thin the veneer of civilization really is.

The Judeo-Christian ethic is the best underpinning - imo - for providing social norms for civilization than any other philosophy or religion, and it has not passed.

I disagree that the thesis group people are basing their internal logic on science and reason. It is indeed spiritual. They have made science into a religion. If "the science says" something, then it must be true whether or not they have read and understood the papers or not. That's not science or reason, that's blind faith.

There is a difference between liberty and license.
One of the big problems we have as far as having these discussions is that  everybody wants to be a hero.  And once a person/group have been convinced that they are the ones doing the noble, brave and heroic thing - in this case taking/refusing the jab - it becomes very difficult to concede that one may have been incorrect. Especially when we have the levels of censorship that are currently/have been being employed across the world.

It is the same problem in the climategate scandal. Bad/manipulated data leads to bad conclusions.

"Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding." ~ Proverbs 23:23
