Expert panel on EMP threat: Electric grid protection urgently needed

We recently missed being impacted by a coronal ejection from the sun by one week. EMP is a serious threat and not just from a possible nuclear attack.

 Here's the takeaway if you don't have time to listen to the whole thing: " It's inexcusable for a nation with the wealth and the economy that we have, that the insignificant funds necessary to protect (against) what has been deemed inevitable (are) not being expended to keep the population safe" and "You can't negotiate with the sun."
