Draw mohammed Everywhere
Because This is America and freedom of religion has natural limits as do all unalienable rights. You may not yell "Fire!" in a crowded theater and you may not kill someone for drawing a cartoon. If you don't like that, get out.
This is the winning entry from the draw mohammed contest in Texas as posted on the American Thinker blog. The artist is former muslim Bosch Fawstin. I offer him my congratulations on his winning entry.
Have you seen it on any of the MSM reports about the attack on that contest? Think about that.
I recommend that all Americans draw mohammed and send those drawings to your local papers in support of free speech.
"Ye that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked." ~ Psalm 97:10

Speaking My Mind About Islam
Today is speak your Mind about islam day, so here goes. First off, for those of you on Twitter, here's a hashtag for you: #SpeakYourMindAboutIslamDay . The DOJ has indicated that sharing unflattering opinions about islam on social media, regardless of the truth of those opinions, will be prosecuted. In AMERICA! Our rights require exercise if they are not to be lost. This nation depends on an informed citizenry that is willing to stand for the Constitution and the rule of law.
“War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing worth a war, is worse. A man who has nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety is a miserable creature who has no chance at being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.”
― John Stuart Mill
Next up are my own thoughts and opinions. Islam is to the world what an abusive father is to a family. It encourages abuse and abusive behavior. It insists upon being the only authority with the power to speak or act. It punishes those who are bound by their cultures and upbringing, those who have never known anything else, when they deviate by so much as a glance or raised eyebrow from its approved positions.
There are many verses in the quran that require and approve of the killing and/or enslavement of those who do not follow islam. Those deceived souls who follow and approve of islam insist that these verses only apply in war without noting that, until the world has been conquered for allah, islam IS at war with all who do not submit to it. Within islam there are only dar al harb and dar al islam, the house of war and the house of islam. The goal of islam is to eliminate by any and all means the house of war.
"Terror is necessary in the winning of wars" "Terror will not work if the heart is filled with faith" ~ From The Quranic Concept of War by Brig. General S. K. Malik
That sounds "nice"- to eliminate war - doesn't it? Unfortunately, according to islam the only way to do that is to convert or kill all those who currently occupy the house of war and that is everyone in the world with the exception of those who currently follow islam. It's rather like the old warnings about trying to get a genie(or as they are known in islam a djin) to grant you a wish. Wish to be the oldest child in your family? Easy, the genie kills all your older siblings. Wish to have all the gold in the world - poof! It's yours, but, because no one else has any, it is now worthless.
As Bill Warner noted in his videos, islam is at war with us regardless of our opinions or actions regarding islam. Today is to be a reminder to the DOJ that this is America and we HAVE freedom of speech. Any law that has been made that contravenes the US Constitution is no law at all and every citizen has a duty to refuse to comply with such a law. We cannot yell "fire" in a crowded theatre because that could create an immediate, physical threat to the people in the theatre. Speaking ill of another does not rise to that same level of threat. Unless it is the opinion of this administration and the DOJ that the followers of islam are so mentally unstable that they ought to be in a mental institution because they are incapable of controlling themselves when they feel their religion has been insulted, then this is absolutely illegal. (And were that the case, I contend that it would be the duty of the DOJ to round up the followers of islam and incarcerate them in mental institutions rather than taking action against American citizens exercising their God given and Constitutionally affirmed rights to freedom of speech.)
So, it is now the time when: "Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it."~Thomas Paine Speak your mind about islam today and every day...while we still may.
"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. " ~ 1 John 4:18

An Order of Magnitude
That is the phrase used when one wishes to describe a large or significant difference between two things.
Such as the difference between the current administration's actions regarding the economy and their response to the deliberate attack on our consulate in Libya and the murder of our ambassador and 3 other citizens.
The reason this is appropriate, to say that there is an order of magnitude's difference in those actions, is because the difference is one of such vast import to the American people, that to classify it otherwise would be unthinkable.
An administration may make economic policies that affect thousands, or hundreds of thousands of Americans negatively. In general, we recognize that such things are a matter of suffering through a temporary difference of economic ideologies. We expect that reality will cause such policies to self correct over time. It is not seen as an indication that those who have been granted authority over those policies despise us or account the individual as being of little intrinsic worth.
The response of this administration to the deliberate act of war against us and the murder of our citizens is not a matter of differing ideologies that will self correct. This is a matter of declaring to the world how we, here in America view the value of an individual life. Yes, there are national security and foreign policy concerns attached to this, but the primary purpose our response needs to address is: How do we, as a nation, regard the value of a single human life? In other times, the answer to that question was inseparable from the given response. Devastatingly, that response has changed under this administration. And that is what makes me sick in my very soul.
In my experience of life, America, as a nation has regarded human life in the same way as does the God of the Bible. That is to say; that every human being is intrinsically valuable. The SCOTUS' inappropriate meddling in Roe vs Wade (not to mention their inappropriate ruling-a matter of cowardice) dealt that understanding a severe blow, but it was not a death blow. It was more along the lines of a difficult question regarding the balance between an individual's right to privacy and control of one's own bodily processes and another individual's right to life. (I think that life overrules the other, but clearly, the SCOTUS did not share that opinion.)
This administration's response, to apologize for the exercise of free speech and lament the violence that "wasted the lives of state officials"("or alternatively, because this is a translation of an egyptian source: "wasted lives of agents of the state.") rather than to declare war [until LIBYA surrenders or provides a reason strong enough to prevent us from turning that nation into a glass parking lot (Terrorists did it and we couldn't control them-not believable at this point in the game, but plausible for quelling a declaration of war until the perpetrators were surrendered for judgement)], was a statement to the world and Americans that this administration regards the individual as being of little intrinsic value. The first time I mentioned this statement, I was willing to allow that it might be merely an unfortunate translation. Given the continuing actions of this administration, I no longer think so.
That is the sickness that gnaws at my soul every time I hear from the government now.

That is the sickness that gnaws at my soul every time I hear from the government now.
- A government consisting of: a sitting POTUS and administration that made that heinous statement to the world(in addition to their surrender of America to the islamic world) ;
- A Congress that does not see fit to impeach the sitting POTUS who would make such a statement (and who also treasonously surrendered and who has committed numerous acts of overt treason against this nation);
- A SCOTUS who will not hear from citizens on legitimate questions of that same POTUS' eligibility to serve, saying that We the People, as individuals, have no standing to see the rule of law upheld.
This cause of that "soul sickness" in ordinary American citizens like myself is what must be addressed before this nation can reclaim it's freedom.
This is what defines mr. obama as unfit to run a turnip patch, much less America. This is a disregard of common human decency so vast as to boggle the mind. This should have been sufficient for impeachment, but it was not.
Until it is, and until the intrinsic value of every individual is once again recognized in America, the blood of Ambassador Stevens, Mr. Smith, Mr. Doherty and Mr. Woods will cry out from the ground against an America that allowed freedom to die with them.
"Even so would he have removed thee out of the strait into a broad place, where there is no straitness; and that which should be set on thy table should be full of fatness.
But thou hast fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold on thee.
Because there is wrath, beware lest he take thee away with his stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver thee." ~ Job 36:16-18

Raising Our Voices

A Call to Mobilize the American Blogosphere in Support of Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff
We, the undersigned — consisting of four European blogs, one Canadian blog, and one American blog — have written this post jointly as a public call for our American colleagues to take up the cause of the Austrian feminist and anti-jihad activist Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff.
Geert Wilders is well-known to most American conservative and libertarian bloggers, but Elisabeth’s case is not so prominent. Like Mr. Wilders, she faces trial for reporting factual information about Islam. Her “crime” was to conduct public seminars in which she described Islamic doctrine, quoted from the Koran, and explained to her listeners what she considers the dangers of Islam.
Like Mr. Wilders, Elisabeth has been charged with “hate speech” for her words. Unlike Mr. Wilders, however, Elisabeth is a private citizen, a wife, and the mother of a small child. She lacks the major resources necessary to defend herself against the well-funded organs of the state which seek to persecute her.
Elisabeth will go on trial in Vienna on November 23rd, in what is clearly a political action intended to silence anyone who dissents against the prevailing multicultural orthodoxy.
We, her European and North American supporters, have formed Elisabeth’s Voice to ensure that she is not silenced. By appealing for financial aid, we hope to ensure that her defense is well-funded. By appealing for publicity, we hope to ensure that her case is well-known, not just in Austria and the rest of Europe, but across the entire Western world.
Americans may think that Elisabeth’s is a uniquely European plight, and has nothing to do with them. But make no mistake about it: the same repression is on its way to the United States of America. As the recent cases of Molly Norris, Juan Williams, and Derek Fenton demonstrate, free speech may already be taken away by non-juridical means. Dissent is even now being silenced in schools and on college campuses, and politically incorrect expression is cause for dismissal from both public and private employment.
The same types of “hate speech” laws that were used against Elisabeth in Austria are being prepared for the United States through the work of the United Nations. At the initiative of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, the UN is on the verge of requiring all member states to pass laws criminalizing “the defamation of religions, including Islam.”
Your president, Barack Hussein Obama, has indicated his support for the UN’s proposed resolution. Time is running out for all of us. If we don’t stand up now for people like Geert Wilders, Ezra Levant, Mark Steyn, and Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff, there will be no one to stand up for us later, when our turn comes.
Links to detailed information about Elisabeth’s case may be found at the bottom of this post, along with a link to her legal defense website where you may donate to her cause.

73,000 Blogs Gone
Andrea Shea King posted about the seizure of an internet server on her blog earlier this week.
It seemed that the free hosting site Blogtery has had their server seized by the authorities. There is a link at their site to a thread discussing, among other things, whether or not the authorities are acting within the law. The consensus on the thread seems to be that they are.
The e-mailed responses to queries of Blogtery's owner, which he/she has posted on the thread are as follows:
"Due to the history of abuse and on going abuse on this 'bn.***********' server. We have opted to terminate this server, effective immediately. This termination applies to: bn.affiliateplex.comAbuse DepartmentBurstNET Technologies, Inc "
"Hello, again.Thank you for providing your pin. It has been verified.Bn.xx*********** was terminated by request of law enforcement officials, due to material hosted on the server. We are limited as to the details we can provide to you, but note that this was a critical matter and the only available option to us was to immediately deactivate the server. The following section of our Service Agreement Contract (https://www.burst.net/policy/contract.pdf) addresses this type of issue:.......... "
"I'm sorry for the delay. I have been awaiting a response regarding this issue from one of my colleagues. Please note that this was not a typical case, in which suspension and notification would be the norm. This was a critical matter brought to our attention by law enforcement officials. We had to immediately remove the server. The pre-payment for invoice #1289289 (bn.xxxxx***********. (07/11/2010 - 08/10/2010)) has been credited back to your account."
Further Burstnet appears to have commented on the thread saying this:
"We notified him when we terminated it, and we refunded him his money to his account, becasue he has other servers with us. If he wants the refund to his card, we can easily do that. However, it should be the least of his concern.Simply put: We cannot give him his data nor can we provide any other details. By stating this, most would recognize that something serious is afoot. As far as his request to speak with the law enforcement officials, he sent it last night at 7PM, after Customer service was closed. We are looking into his request with the necessary persons. This is the last post we will make on this subject."
On the surface, this seems pretty cut and dried, the site was warned and had their service terminated according to the TOS and at the request of law enforcement. So, what's the problem?
The problem is that Blogtery provided free hosting to some 73,000 blogs. Now, I know law enforcement is tough and criminals are sneaky, but is it really necessary to shut down 73,000 blogs to curtail the criminal activities of ...how many? Surely not all 73,000 bloggers were violating the TOS or piracy laws or whatever else would have caused the authorities to take such an extreme action. Yet, neither they, nor the owner of Blogtery have been able to get their data back. I hope they had backups.
The owner of Blogtery.com professes to be ignorant of any wrongdoing and says that whenever they have received notice of violations, the violators have been removed within 24 hours. Most of the other posters seem to have assumed that the owner of Blogtery has not been cooperative with the owners of Burstnet or the authorities in policing the server.
Maybe that's true. Still, I found myself with more questions than answers.
Upon looking for more information, I found a report here on the matter which was referenced on the Dept. of Homeland Security's "Daily Open Source Infrastructure Report for 21 July 2010"'
According to the report, " “It was revealed that a link to terrorist material, including bomb-making instructions and an al-Qaeda ‘hit list', " were contained in the offending blog.
Furthermore, it appears, from the report, that it was Burstnet's decision to take down the entire site rather than just the offending blog.
"Upon review, BurstNET determined that the posted material, in addition to potentially inciting dangerous activities, specifically violated the BurstNET acceptable use policy. "This policy strictly prohibits the posting of ‘terrorist propaganda, racist material, or bomb/weapon instructions.’ Due to this violation and the fact that the site had a history of previous abuse, BurstNET elected to immediately disable the system."
I'm still wondering, why take down the entire site? It seems counterproductive to good business to make 72,999 customers upset for the actions of one. It doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense.
