Is the Social Compact Broken?

The answer, from the widest spectrum of people across America seems to be "yes". What is meant by the social compact is the social compact between the people and our government. We elect people to serve our interests and that service is limited, on the federal level, by the US Constitution.

Although there has been much ado created by mr. obama's remarks about the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman/creative editing by the main stream media episode, another US credit downgrade passed by on Friday with nary a whisper from that same main stream media.

The command of our troops was abandoned to NATO in the Libya debacle. (In which Mr. obama committed treason by providing aid and comfort to those who had admitted publicly that they had fought against our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and planned to do so again as soon as they were done in Libya. In addition, our troops have been told to fight a war that cannot be won using rules of engagement that could not be any worse if the enemy themselves had created them.

The AG's office has been seen to have a policy of only enforcing the law where they see fit and that "fitness" appears more and more to be based on race. In addition, the AG himself authorized Project Gunrunner(now known as Fast and Furious)in an attempt to undermine our second amendment right to bear arms. An effort that caused the Mexican government to suspect that the US was attempting to overthrow their government, btw.

Mr. obama has made remarks regarding the Supreme Court while they are conferring on a case involving an egregious power grab by the 111th Congress.(AKA Obamacare) At the same time "justice" kagan has refused to recuse herself from the case, a case in which, as the solicitor general who crafted the government's defense of the law in question, she has a clear conflict of interest, and nothing has been done.

In point of fact, that seems to be the overriding theme here, this administration and the 110th-112th Congress betray their end of the social compact over and over again and nothing is done. By whom should something be done when all those whose job it is to oversee doing something are just as corrupt as those committing the breaches?

The American people have failed to overrule the parties and the press-AGAIN- with regard to finding the best candidate for the job and the GOP has failed to provide any candidate worthy of the votes of an honest people, and as for the democrats, they seem intent on calling names and breaking laws with impunity as long as they are allowed to do so. Not that the GOP is innocent of such shenanigans-that is why the social compact is broken-because neither party has held up their end of it on the government's side.

Thomas Jefferson once said: "I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that his justice cannot sleep forever." Every member of Congress, the SCOTUS and this current administration should tremble for their lives when they reflect that We the People are waking to the perfidy which has been performed upon this nation at their hands.

Personally, I do not think that we have until the election to correct this breakage. I am of the opinion that, unless mr. obama and his henchmen and women are removed before the election and with enough time for whatever remains to field candidates that we will have passed the point where we can count on the Rule of Law, a rule which has been broken over and over by these ravishers of our beloved nation, to restore the social compact without bloodshed. Indeed, in any other country, it would have been too late already, but this is America and I still have hope that we are better then that. That we, among the nations of the earth can change our servants without messy blood filled temper tantrums on the part of those who have behaved so badly already.

Our last chance to restore our nation peacefully, in my opinion, is now. Petition your county sheriffs to join Sheriff Joe in Arizona in the investigation and removal of this usurper and his cronies-all of them. And in the meantime, fellow patriots, keep your powder dry.

"Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me." ~ Micah 7:8

Do you really think Obama will wait until "after the election" to "deal with" immigration as he says? One can imagine a scenario: legalize illegals before the election, resulting in patriot uprisings, resulting in martial law, resulting in loss of election because you can't change horses mid-stream in a troubled time, resulting in....you can only imagine.

Nope, I think that, unless mr. obama and his cronies (all of them) are removed before the election, we will have lost our last opportunity to replace him peacefully under the rule of law.

But that's just me.
