Who Voted for Her?

Here is a question nobody - or almost nobody seems to be asking: Who voted for Kamala Harris in the presidential primaries? Because it looks like she was just "assigned" to replace the candidate for whom the voters had actually cast their votes. (And "Assigned by whom and by what authority?" is a question very few are asking too.)

Are democrat voters really okay with that? Is that a precedent that they want to set? After observing  what was done to Bernie Sanders when he ran against Ms rodham-clinton, clearly there are bad actors in the people running the DNC, but this? This is outrageous.

Is this going to be the model from now on? The party doesn't like who the people voted for so they pressure that candidate to drop out and put in whomever the party chooses?  That's appalling. What's next? Paying someone to run and drop out when the party wants them to so they can force someone else on the gullible fools who still think their vote matters?

And don't pretend that 'it is only this once, because ... insert reason here'. If such a subterfuge works once and is allowed, why wouldn't they use it going forward?  Why wouldn't both parties? The fact that not even the so called conservative channels are pointing this out is equally appalling.

How stands the republic, my fellow Americans? This is our watch.

Alabama Election

For all those bewailing the results of the Alabama election or the most recent presidential one - have a little faith.
This system was designed to withstand the election of fools so long as the citizenry maintains it's character.  That's right my fellow Americans, this nation is as good or as bad as are it's citizens.

Our government  is a direct reflection of the character of the people. If the people are self reliant and personally responsible, the government will be limited and unobtrusive.  If the people are lazy and apathetic enough to leave the duties and responsibilities that should be their own to a faceless bureaucracy, then the government will become corrupt and tyrannical.

The solution to all of our current political woes is to bring up your own game.

Build your own character.

If you are receiving money from the government, get yourself into a place where you are not - if you can.

If you are depending on government for anything, stop it.

Prepare yourself and you family to support yourselves.

Get to know your neighbors.

STUDY the history of this nation. Find out how our government is supposed to work and what it is supposed to do and what it is not. For those responsibilities that do fall on the government, find out on which level of government those responsibilities are to fall.

Find out what responsibilities are supposed to be yours in this republic and shoulder them. Don't allow the government to remove them from you.  Because freedom and responsibility are two sides of the same coin. If you give your responsibility into the hands of the government - the freedoms go with it.

Recognize that helping each other is an individual responsibility. Charity is not the job of the federal government. The people of the states may do what they like.

"20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.

23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?" ~ Eze 18: 20-23

The WI GAB Has Got to Go

“We need to take this thing apart,” said Knudson told Wisconsin Watchdog in a Sept. 15 interview.
“We have had an eight-year failed experiment in Wisconsin, an experiment that said if you put nonpartisan judges in charge of overseeing a combination of the elections oversight and ethics/lobbying and campaign finance oversight, you put that all together so they are under the auspices of one bureaucrat, that would somehow be a national model. Well, now what we’ve seen is not a national model. In fact, it’s a failure and it needs to be replaced,” Knudson said.
Read more here.
18 Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment.
19 Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.
20 That which is altogether just shalt thou follow, that thou mayest live, and inherit the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee." ~ Deut 16:18-20

And the GOP Hypocrisy Begins

I had much to say on Mr. mcconnell's comments shortly after the elections. (If you are so inclined, you may listen to the Nov 5th show on the sidebar.) I was hard pressed to say it without the use of profanity. My main thoughts, I have already posted on this blog under the title:  "Or Else What?".

From Mr. mcconnell's remarks in his post election interview with Time - especially this one ""Notably, a full repeal of Obamacare was not on his mind, but rather a partial repeal through the appropriations process. Finally, he named his new top priority: keeping the Senate in 2016" "(emphasis mine) , it is clear that reversing the effects of this lawless current administration is not his top priority. In fact I wonder if reversing any of the horrifically egregious legislation passed by the 111th congress is on his - or the GOP's plate. Because it is clearly the GOP's plate and not America's. Otherwise the listed top priority would be considerably different.

To be absolutely crystal clear, I think that top priority should be for the House and the Senate to bury the Oval Office under full repeals for deathcare. Not weaselly funding and appropriations bills-although do those too, by all means - but full repeal bills. There should be nothing else - with the exception of the protection of this nation's borders - on their plate until deathcare is gone. If  Mr. obama vetoes it, send him another one. Make his office so full of them that he signs one by mistake. Let there be stacks of them piled so high that the man cannot enter the office for the stacks of them. If he vetoes one, send it back for an overriding vote until the communist/democrat holdouts give in and do the right thing because of the sheer persistence of their colleagues and because their constituents are demanding it of them. Yes, people, it is time to get on the phones and flood their offices with demands -not requests- demands for full repeal.

Because I am so very incensed by those remarks, and because I choose not to use the unladylike language which is currently the majority of what I am thinking in response to that reading, I am going to share the thoughts on this election and Mr. mcconnell's remarks from a twenty something young man of my acquaintance.
With his kind permission, the thoughts of young Mr. P.

"Obviously one might expect me to be happy about yesterday's election results given how conservative I claim to be....I'm not sure though. As far as I can tell the Republican party has sold out and it's only a matter of time before they collapse. I no longer view Republicans as a conservative party, I view them as cheerleaders. Their greatest ambition in life seems to be gaining popularity more than doing what's right. I found Mitch McConnell's statement this morning rather unsettling. I hope that Republicans either miraculously start doing the right thing instead of trying to be popular or that this republican congress ticks people off so much that they lose everyone's support and the party collapses so we can finally get candidates who stand for something. It actually pains me a little bit to see the Republican landslide because I know it'll take at least one more pendulum swing before we start seeing candidates with integrity, and I don't know if America can take it. Impeach Obama. That is all."

And after a few comments back and forth, he shared this in reaction to the quote above:

"Lol, and they're not going to keep the senate forever. Haven't they learned how a pendulum works? Mitch McConnell said a lot of stuff about how he wanted republicans and democrats to pass bills they both agreed on and find ways to work together.
I'm sorry, but I don't elect my representatives/senators to go and avoid conflict. I elect them to represent my interests, and what I believe are the best interests of the nation. I elect them to do the right thing, not the convenient thing and not the thing we can all agree on. I don't elect them to wring their hands and do nothing when the acting president betrays our country, our citizens are in danger from within and without and the country has been sold out from under us. I don't elect them to pander to me and tell me everything is fine. And I don't elect them because of their party affiliation. I don't want them to get along with all the yahoos that are spending us into oblivion and supporting our moral degradation and destroying the constitution and taking away our liberty. I want them to fight and fight and fight and fight and keep fighting from day one until they are removed from office or die. If they don't, they are wusses, and the Republicans are the biggest wusses of all, and I'm sick of it.
Rant over.

Endorsements Anyone?

My readers may have noticed by now that I have not endorsed any particular candidate. Nor will I, in this space. It is the opinion of this blogger that you need to do your own research.

We are blessed to have the internet at our disposal. We can sit comfortably at home and look up all the candidates and their records(if they have any). We are without excuse. We will get the government we deserve and I think that it is time for those of us who vote to step up to the plate and do our research. On an earlier post, I stated that voting is an act of faith. It is. It is your opportunity to do what is right - without witnesses even. When you go into that voting booth, your choice is between you and God. This is yet one more plea to my fellow Americans to ignore the msm, the DNC, the RNC and anyone else who is trying to dictate your candidates to you. They do this by the simple expedient of ignoring all other candidates.

They do not know everything and the choices they give us are not the complete list of available candidates. I am praying that the American people step up and show our mettle by voting in someone who is not even on the radar of those who would dictate our candidates to us. Someone of strong character and high integrity with Christian values. (Yes, personal life counts. If your spouse and children cannot trust you, why should I?)

Of course I am also praying that the Senate steps up to their duties and charges mr. obama with treason and removes him and his cronies from office long before the election. I'm not sure why they haven't, except for cowardice and corruption among the ranks of senators.

"And she looked, and, behold, the king stood at his pillar at the entering in, and the princes and the trumpets by the king: and all the people of the land rejoiced, and sounded with trumpets, also the singers with instruments of musick, and such as taught to sing praise. Then Athaliah rent her clothes, and said, Treason, Treason.

Then Jehoiada the priest brought out the captains of hundreds that were set over the host, and said unto them, Have her forth of the ranges: and whoso followeth her, let him be slain with the sword. For the priest said, Slay her not in the house of the LORD.

So they laid hands on her; and when she was come to the entering of the horse gate by the king's house, they slew her there.

And Jehoiada made a covenant between him, and between all the people, and between the king, that they should be the LORD's people." ~ 2 Chron 23:13-16

Or Else What?

In last week's BlogTalkRadio show (Oh Ye Of Little Faith) I spoke about how voting for the lesser of two evils is voting for evil. That the idea that we must vote for a major party candidate is a lie and, until we stop believing that lie, we will continue to vote for evil.

Don't believe it? The TEA Parties, independents, republicans, and libertarians and etc. have all weighed in on how We the People are going to "Take America back!" Really? By doing what? All I hear is that democrats are going to lose their seats in November. So What?

Let's say the democrats do lose. To whom will they be losing? That's right - by and large to republicans who may or may not have decided to behave and vote according to the values they are commonly perceived as having. I say again-so what? What's the threat if republicans don't behave themselves and vote according to those values-as they didn't in the Bush administration?

That's right, we vote the democrats in, in the next election. Beginning to see a problem here? If neither party represents our values as Americans any longer, then voting for the candidates of either party will not address our current challenges. In fact, voting for the candidates put forth by either party will very likely result in more of the same and worse.

Our republic rests on the exercise of self discipline and personal responsibility by the electorate. We need candidates who believe in us, as a people. Candidates who are willing to allow us to take risks and fail without regulating every last detail of our lives until we can no longer move or breathe for the regulations stifling us.

We need candidates who are willing to allow communities to take care of their own. Sure some folks will fall through the cracks. Does anyone think no one is falling through the huge cracks in government charity now? America is the most charitable and giving nation on the face of this Earth. I think we can be trusted to care for our own without government entitlements.

Pressing the easy button of party politics when you go into the voting booth or insisting on term limits(another form of that easy button) will not restore our republic. Not only do we need new people to run, we need the electorate to stop believing the lie that only a major party candidate can win, because by believing it, we give it power. The major parties spend a lot of money to be sure that we will believe it. They also spend a fair amount of time convincing us that one vote doesn't matter - no matter how much money they spend trying to convince us to cast that vote for their "team".

We have been granted the freedom to rule ourselves, but the responsibility that runs concurrently with that freedom is the responsibility to choose men and women of good character and sound judgement, who share our values to those posts of service. That requires making an effort beyond just accepting what the major parties and the mainstream media tell us.

It will be a shame to us, as a nation and as Christians, if we stand by and watch our nation go down the path to destruction because we believed a lie and kept voting for the lesser of two evils. Shame on us if we are unwilling to do the work to find out who is the best candidate, regardless of party. We can do better than that. We must. November is coming.

" For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
Therefore the LORD shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. " ~Isaiah 9:16-17
