R.I.P. Margaret Thatcher

Today we saw the death of Britain's "Iron Lady", Margaret Thatcher. She was well respected, not because everyone agreed with her, she had many detractors. She was respected because she knew the difference between principle and preference. Principles are those things which are NEVER up for compromise.
She was preceded in death by Lawrence Auster, another individual noted for his failure to compromise.
In these days of political correctness/Gramsci Marxism, the failure to compromise on anything and everything is viewed as a negative. Only unreasonable people are unwilling to compromise.

If that is the culture we are promoting, then may I always be viewed as obstinately unreasonable and uncompromising. Because there are some things upon which I will never, with God's generous assistance, compromise.

The most basic of these principles is the self evident, unalienable right to life. Every individual is unique and intrinsically valuable. We are made in the image of God and therefore precious beyond measure-every single one of us. Yes, that includes the ones with whom I most emphatically disagree. The taking of a life, from conception to naturally occurring death, is a grievous and solemn thing, not to be taken lightly.

I took comfort from the likes of Ms. Thatcher and Mr. Auster. Not because I always agreed with them, but because I saw in them the strength to stand their ground. In a culture that insists on the compromise of all that I hold sacred, I value their examples. We need more people who are willing to be labeled, unapologetically unreasonable in these times.

Like the songs says, "You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything." The level of self delusion and denial that I see around me in America is alarming. But worse is the willingness to compromise on principles. If we have no principles worth seeming "unreasonable" to defend, then how can we possibly hope to restore our Constitutional republic? Our form of government depends upon having a people who have principles and who will stand on them, unapologetically and uncompromisingly.

If you have nowhere to stand, when the time comes that you need to stand, you will not. Find out where you stand Americans.

"He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure. "~ Isaiah 33:15-16

Wisconsin woman who was shot at Fort Hood being denied Purple Heart - TODAY'S TMJ4
Many of the commenters on this article are saying that this was not combat, that it was no different than a training accident. This is not the truth. Islam is the self declared enemy of all that is not islam in the world and is to conquer the world for allah. These soldiers were injured in combat with an enemy. Mr. Hasan was a muslim and took no pains to hide it. He was yelling ahallhu Akbar as he shot our soldiers.

The most shameful part of this, in my opinion, is that this nation is so self deluded that these soldiers will never see purple hearts because it might make muslims feel bad. That's how deep in denial we are. Our military and media are "scrubbing" all terminology that would tell them the truth and see us prepared to defend ourselves against the infiltration of this scourge. We will pay a high price for that.

China Signals it will Back North Korea in War | FrontPage Magazine

The conclusion of this article reads:
"The message being sent is that China, unlike the United States, doesn’t abandon its allies.
Obama may have sold out Poland on missile defense and sold out the UK on the Falklands and Israel on Hamas. Obama sold out Mubarak and the leaders of most American allies in the Middle East.
But China won’t sell out North Korea, no matter how much it should, and that sends a message to the rest of the world.
Who would you rather have in your corner? Who is going to stand by you when times are tough? China or America?"

Obama's New Libya

While the name of the blog is Irate, Tireless Minority, in truth only God is tireless. Whilst I pause to regain some energy, I thought I would share  an article or two from sources other than my own (hopefully inspired and competent) keyboard. I will save the Bible verses for my own writing as I hope for my current fatigue and other distractions to only be a temporary situation. I am continually amazed that anyone reads what I write, but I do thank you for doing so.

"Remember all the hoopla the Obama administration engaged in after helping Libya's "freedom fighters" oust (and sodomize and murder) the nation's former president, Muammar Gaddafi? Remember the rationale used by Obama to justify using the U.S. military to help Libya's "opposition"? In his March 28, 2011, speech, he spoke of "our responsibilities to our fellow human beings," adding that not assisting them "would have been a betrayal of who we are."
Although it was common knowledge that al-Qaeda and other fiercely anti-American forces were involved in the Libyan jihad, this did not shake Obama's "responsibilities" to his "fellow human beings." Predictably, the thanks the U.S. received was an al-Qaeda attack on the American consulate in Benghazi and the murders of four American officials, including Ambassador Chris Stevens (an attack the Obama administration tried to frame as a product of an amateur YouTube video that had "offended" Muslims)." Racism or Poor Layout?

I have received feedback on the earlier post, stating that the real thing is much more self explanatory than my description.
So, in the interest of veracity, I have scanned the article from the Sheboygan Press with the accompanying advertisements. Please note that I take the position that this was just poor layout especially when you look at the railroad ad that runs beneath both article and pig ad which seems to be reinforcing Sheriff Clarke's message.

All in all it gave me a good chuckle, knowing as I do, that the Sheboygan Press is often referred to in these parts as "The Sheboygan Mess".

As to the semi-accusatory tone of the article's headline, the proper response is: "Of course the taxpayers are covering that public service announcement, just as they do all the others. What kind of nonsense is this? Do they think that taxpayers should only have to pay for messages they want to hear in public service announcements? Don't be ridiculous.

"Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them." ~ Psalm 126:2
