The strength of America is not our diversity, it is supposed to be a shared philosophy of liberty and what is necessary to maintain this republic among whomever comes here. "Out of many, one" is referring to a shared value set - or at least a willingness to respect the value set of your neighbors in so far as it does not infringe on your rights - and political philosophy. Without that, diversity is divisive.

Fighting the Democrat's Pro-Abortion Platform
Roe was based on the court's inability to determine when life begins. In the time since Roe, it has become glaringly obvious, through the practice of in vitro fertilization, that life begins at conception. If the court had been wiser, they would have erred on the side of caution and made abortion illegal except in the case where the pregnancy threatens the life of the mother. In which case the decision lies with the mother - because it is her life that is in danger.

This blogger/Mother understands the reasonable suspicion of it all and agrees that the child in this case should be questioned by law enforcement, but the second this child is brought in to be questioned about any criminal activity for which he/she might be charged with a crime, his/her parents should have been notified and a lawyer provided.
That this doesn't happen is a violation of the grant of in loco parentis authority given to the school by the parents. Because, the second the school decides that they need to act in the interests of the other students(a not unreasonable thing) at the expense of this student, they can no longer be said to be acting in loco parentis - leaving the student to face the overwhelming power and authority of the state alone while still thinking of the school personnel as a sort of extended family - because that is what the grant of in loco parentis is - a grant of authority to act as a parent.
Our children have rights and they're being violated by school personnel too often in this way and a goodly number of children are harmed by it who have done far less egregious things than this child. In addition, what does this say to the other students? It tells them that our Constitution and Bill of Rights are merely pretty pieces of paper that won't be any protection to them in the real world rather than hard and fast principles by which to govern our society/nation that should be held in respect.
This blogger spent 8 years trying to get legislation through in WI to protect the rights or our children in such circumstances only to have it not brought up for a vote and therefore dismissed at the end of the legislative session, right before all the legislators with whom I had been working on it retired, leaving it to have to go through the whole process a second time with the new ones who preferred safety to freedom. In frustration there was was an unacceptable degree of rudeness to a new aide - at which point it was apparent that this needed to be advanced by someone else lest obscene language were to become too tempting. But no one else has picked it up.
Homeschool. Freedom is not safe, it is just safer than the alternatives. Just as an adult has a right to a lawyer when being questioned, so does a child. The problem is that a child is less likely - especially in the context of being questioned by school personnel - to know that they need to ask for one.

The NGO's are getting money from our government to do this - possibly through the UN. Clearly if they can limit the border crossings to 5,00/day, they could also stop them before 5,000/day.

The TRUTH About The "Bipartisan" $118 Billion Senate Border Bill...
So ... they want to allow thousands of people a day to break our laws before they will enforce our laws.
Doesn't that mean that they CAN close the border right now, but they WON'T ... for some reason?
Hmmmm. Add in that our government is sending OUR tax money to the UN and hundreds of NGO's who are using OUR tax money to help these people come here and break our laws.
It becomes ever more difficult to view this invasion(not to mention the human trafficking and abuse of the children who are being trafficked BY OUR GOVERNMENT - over 85,000 children unable to be found since being handed over to unvetted "guardians/agencies/etc" That's slavery, here, in the USA, facilitated by the government.)

Statesville Sues to Strike Huge American Flag: Marcus Lemonis Refuses
Having read about this issue on both sides, the city has a valid point with regard to safety. There is a huge flag in Sheboygan, Wi. Which is home to Acuity Insurance. Which has put up a veteran's memorial - open to the public - on their company property. (This blogger recommends a visit because it is impossible to convey the experience of standing at the base of that flagpole.)
This is the largest free flying American flag in the world and it is HUGE. The first flag they put up was blown down in a windstorm. They took over a year to engineer and construct the new flagpole. There are significant safety issues for having such a large flag near a highway.

"The flagpole is nearly 100 feet taller than the Statue of Liberty.
At 70 by 140 feet, the flag is the world’s tallest symbol of freedom.
Flags are taken down at the first sign of wear, such as tearing along the seams. A professional seamstress uses an industrial-grade sewing machine kept at Acuity to make repairs.
The 9,800-square-foot flag weighs 250 pounds.

Erecting a flagpole of such height in a location where temperatures frequently fall below zero required a team of experts to ensure structural integrity and maintainability.
The flagpole is designed to withstand a low temperature of -42 degrees and wind speeds up to 120 miles per hour.

Or, here's an idea - don't give them one in the first place. Just give them a flip phone if a phone they must have. Also, no social media until they are able to earn enough to pay for their own internet access.
