Welcome Josh Tolley Listeners
Update: The legislation never got referred to the committee and as a result must be re-introduced next session. Unfortunately, Rep Kestell is retiring and Sen Leibham is running for Congress, so both of my legislators, who acted as sponsors for this legislation are likely to be gone(although I will grant that Mr. Leibham will have stiff competition for Rep Petri's seat in Sen Grothman.) I own to some disappointment. You may see the latest update here.
Thanks to Josh Tolley and the Josh Tolley Show. Please share your stories in the comments here. The legislation on the table in WI are SB 309 and AB 390. This is simple legislation that just says educators must contact parents first if they are going to question your child about criminal activity.
The other posts you may be interested in are here, here and here. Even if your legislator has signed on as a co-sponsor, please call him/her to thank them and express your support.
I am not part of any organization and I am not asking for money, just a phone call to your legislators. We have a participatory system of government and this is one of the ways we can participate besides voting. The legislative aides are polite and wonderful, please treat them well when you call.

"And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him." ~ Deut 1:16

A Little Help
I seldom engage in any sort of advertising or requests for charity, but occasionally I will make an exception. There is a dear lady who is confined to her bed, but still in need of funds to keep her house. She earns that money by painting personalized signs. If you are someone who travels to craft fairs who would like some of her signs to sell, please contact her too. You can order a sign for your family/business here: http://www.facebook.com/CustomFamilySignsWithPet
"Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise." Hebrews 10:35-36

Update on LRB-0413/1 to protect our kids
Update 2: The legislation never got referred to the committee and as a result must be re-introduced next session. UPDATE: This has now been released as AB 390 in the Assembly and SB 309 in the Senate and referred to the Education committee. I will update again as I receive word.
Sen Leibham's aide, Lucas, has informed me that there are 11 legislators who have signed on as co-sponsors. He says the next step is for the bill to be formally introduced, receive a bill number, and be referred to a committee for consideration yet this week.
The 11 co-sponsors are:
Taylor
Gudex
Vukmir
And from the Assembly:
Kestell
Bies
Born
Johnson
Larson
Pridemore
Ripp
For those in their districts, please call them and thank them for co-sponsoring. If your State Senator/Representatives are not on this list, please call them and let them know you support this legislation and think they should too.
The grant of in loco parentis authority used by educators and admin is based upon the assurances of the government that those who we hire to administer and teach in our public school system are worthy of being trusted with our children. The bottom line is that putting my child in danger without notifying me says they are NOT worthy of that trust. It is a shame that this should be so, but the failure to recognize the dividing line between acting in the best interests of the child and acting as an agent of law enforcement means we need to show them where it is.
" If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.
When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;
Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.
Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction."
~Psalm 73:15-18

Destroying the Rule of Law or Lock up your kids to keep them safe
The Washington Post is reporting that the Supreme Court has ruled that if the countries of illegal immigrants do not want to take them back, we cannot keep them in jail here. The result is that some 2,837 illegal immigrants who were convicted of sexual assault here were released.
Have we all lost our minds? So now illegal aliens can commit sexual assault and walk away. This is not upholding the rule of law or the dictates of the US Constitution. This is victimizing the people of this nation in a way that is entirely criminal. Deport these people.
Of course their home nations don't want criminals back. Then they would have to use their own resources to imprison them. Why are we giving their home nations a choice of whether or not to take them back? Just send them to the point farthest away from America in their home nation and send the government of that home nation a bill for the cost of their transport.
Common sense would indicate that we are not required to keep the citizens of other nations here for any reason, much less allow them to flout our laws with impunity. But then common sense is apparently dead in DC as is respect for the rule of law and respect for the very citizenry that granted them the authority to make such heinous decisions.
"Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law." ~Psalm 119:36

"On 9/11 we will mark the 1 year anniversary of the attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi, Libya which claimed the lives of four US citizens: Ambassador Chris Stephens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty, and Tyrone Woods.
DID YOU KNOW? To this day, not a single person has been fired over the massive security failure, and very little information has been released to the American people.
IT’S TIME TO TAKE ACTION!
This September, join us in keeping up the pressure on all the political players involved in this scandal. Demand an update in the ongoing investigation! The families of Benghazi victims deserve answers and American citizens deserve an explanation.
Watchdog Wire has compiled a comprehensive list of the key political players in the Benghazi attack and investigation. Join #BenghaziWatch and pledge to contact one or more of these major players to tell them that we’re still watching and waiting for the truth."
Well done Watchdog Wire. Benghazi is not old news. The blood of those men will cry out from the ground against us until justice is done. It would be unethical, immoral and un-American to let it go without consequences to those who watched it happen and did nothing.
